How to Make Almond Joy Cookies
To make them, you only need 4 ingredients that you’ll probably have in your pantry:
- Shredded coconut
- Almond flour: buy it online or pulverize almonds into a powder in your food processor
- Chocolate chips: semisweet, milk or dark as you like
- Sweetened condensed milk
For vegan almond joy cookies, try to following two substitutions:
- Replace the sweetened condensed milk with coconut cream.
- Use vegan dark chocolate chips
Your cookies will be almost sugar-free, and will still have the delicious chocolate and coconut flavors!

Hi Shel, So great to hear that and it’s definitely a favorite family recipe. Happy holidays!
Can you substitute the condensed milk with almond milk?
Hi Brenda, Thanks for your question. Almond milk is too thin of a consistency unfortunately. You could try coconut cream but would need some sweetener to taste. Let me know how it goes 🙂
Waaaayyyy too many Chocolate chips. It’s like eating a big piece of semi sweet chocolate. You cant taste the almond, you can’t taste the coconut. All you get is a mouthful of chocolate. I’ll make them again, but with only Half the amount of chips.
Hi Julie, Thanks for your feedback! Will look at that for the next update and glad to hear you’ll make them again 🙂
