dinner, Main Course
Instant Pot Pork Chops, Pressure Cooker Pork Chops
bone-in,1-inch thick, fresh
low sodium soy sauce
optional, mixture of cornstarch and water (1:1 ratio)
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, garlic, chicken stock and soy sauce.
In an instant pot, add pork chops and pour sauce mixture on top.
Seal the lid and turn the steam valve to the sealing position.
Set to high pressure cook. Set the cooking time to 10 minutes for fresh bone-in pork chops. Adjust the time slightly if you cook boneless or frozen pork chops (see above).
The instant pot takes about 10 minutes to come to pressure first. Then it will take another 10 minutes to cook.
When it finishes cooking, it will take 10 more minutes for natural pressure release.
When the steam has escaped, slowly remove the lid and release any remaining pressure.
Remove pork chops to a serving platter.
Mix together ½ tablespoon cornstarch and ½ tablespoon water. Turn the Instant Pot on Sauté mode and add in the mixture.
Stir constantly and cook for 2-3 minutes until it thickens. Turn off the instant pot.
Serve your pork chops with the honey garlic sauce.
If you use frozen pork chops, add 3-5 more minutes of the cooking time
