French Toast Cannoli Rollups

A new way to eat french toast for breakfast

  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar optional
  • 8 slices Bread
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • fresh berries for serving optional


  • In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, chocolate chips and powdered sugar. Stir until combined.
  • Cut the crusts off your slices of bread and flatten with a rolling pin.
  • Take about a tablespoon worth of your filling and spread it onto the bread. Repeat for all slices.
  • In a separate bowl whisk together egg, milk, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla.
  • Roll up each slice of bread and dip into the egg mixture.
  • Place a frying pan on medium-high heat. Add butter and then rollups. Cook several minutes until brown on all sides.
  • Remove rollups to a plate and dust with powdered sugar. Serve and enjoy!
