Donut Fries 3 Ways

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 quart vegetable oil

Vanilla-glazed

  • ½ cup confectioners sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • ¼ tsp vanilla
  • ¼ cup sprinkles

Chocolate-covered

  • ¼ cup chopped almonds
  • ½ cup milk chocolate melted

Cinnamon-sugar with cream cheese

  • 2 tbsp butter softened
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • ¼ cup butter melted
  • ¼ cup cinnamon sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter softened
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • tsp ½vanilla
  • cup ¼butter melted
  • cup ¼cinnamon sugar

Instructions

  • Remove the biscuits from the can and roll out flat to about 1/2 inch thick. Slice the biscuits into thin strips.
  • Prepare a medium saucepan or deep fryer with 2 inches of oil and heat to 375 F.
  • Carefully place 4-5 strips into the hot oil and fry for 2 minutes per side or until golden brown. Remove to paper-towel-lined plates to cool.

Vanilla glazed

  • In a medium bowl, mix confectioners sugar, milk, and vanilla together; dip fries in about halfway and coat with sprinkles.

Chocolate covered

  • In a medium bowl, add chocolate and microwave for 30 seconds to melt; mix and top with almonds.

Cinnamon-sugar with cream cheese

  • In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, butter, and vanilla together and then slowly add in sugar; pipe into center using a pastry bag or straw. Brush lightly with melted butter and roll in cinnamon sugar mixture.
